The T-3 is a military design based rifle, and as such retains
a I-8 twist rate barrel that is not all fond of some light .223 caliber
bullets. Here was the ever flexible Black Hills Ammunition to the
rescue, and in this case the outstanding 68 grain Heavy Match H.P.
round. With that trophy class 24lb tom closing, but sliding off and
away from me with a pile of hens, that meant an extension in range
was developing by the second. It was time I touched off the 68 grain
pill on the ranged 324 yard bird, which promptly dropped the old gobbler
like a lawn dart in his tracks.
As a gun writer and ballistics evaluator I have relied on Black Hills
Ammunition many times over as new rifles are sent to me for testing
and writing reviews. Black Hills Ammunition overall is an outstanding
product that delivers dependability and accuracy.
